 Dale Stuart Walker was born July 27, 1951 in Alton, Illinois to Eleanor Marie (Ward) and Harry Earl Walker. Dale graduated from University of Rochester in 1974 with a BSME; he received his MBA from the University of Houston in 1992. On February 14, 1996 Dale met and fell in love with Chanda Lenore Bartlett. They married on April 1, 2000. Together they had four beautiful children: Jaden Sean (9), Alexandra Bartlett (7), Rayleigh Gwendolyn (5), and Trevan Tyce (2).
Dale had several interests and hobbies. He was a pilot and an avid amateur radio operator. He painted and loved music and shared this with his daughters. Model trains and remote controlled airplanes entertained him and his sons. Dale adored his children and their project time together. A technologist at heart, he was always learning, inventing, and engineering. His spontaneity and thirst for life were unbounded. He lived by his motto: “Anything worth doing was worth doing to excess.” He loved to travel particularly with his young family in their RV. Above all, Dale loved people. He was extremely interested in everyone and regularly chatted with perfect strangers for half an hour.
Dale is survived by his beloved wife and children, one sister, Patricia Ann Walker of Fort Collins, Colorado, his step mother Anne Walker in Williamsburg, VA, and two stepbrothers Thomas Harold Coley III and William Houston of Houston. He was preceded in death by his mother and father. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, May 10 at 4:00 pm at Earthman Resthaven Cemetery. Following this, a celebration of his life will be at Norchester Clubhouse at 13438 Jones Rd. starting at 6:30pm.This casual event will have child care provided for children at the play area and life guards for those at the swimming pool.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to the Walker Children's Education Fund at Houston Federal Credit Union (281-243-0812).
Mourning attire not required at the visitation or funeral service.
