Johnny Edward Koudelka, 62, of Baytown, was called on to be with his Heavenly Father on Friday, Aug. 8, 2008. He was a loving and generous person and a friend to anyone he ever met. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and he loved the outdoors.
Johnny graduated from Robert E. Lee in 1964, and then went on to barber school. He began his career in LaPorte, then Baytown. He also raised cattle, and was an active member of the JCs. He was also a member of Maranatha Church.
Johnny was a loving uncle to Lisa, Linda, Lori, John, Lance and Suzanne; and great uncle to Eric, Quint, Russ, Hannah, Hayden, Jade and Finn. He is preceded in death by his parents, Ladgie and Sidonia Koudelka; sister, Sidonia Jones and grandparents, John and Stefanka Santavy.
He is survived by his sister, Jean Hansen and husband Lynn and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, Aug. 10, 2008, from 5-7 pm, at Earthman Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Monday, Aug. 11, 2008, at 10 a.m., in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Sam Hughes of Fisher Road Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers will be Lance Hansen, John Hansen, Stanley Abbott, Eric Permenter, Quint Permenter and Russ Permenter.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of one’s choice on behalf of Johnny Koudelka.
