Horace "Ken" Kenneth Pitts
died July 23, 2008



Horace Kenneth (Ken) Pitts, 59, passed away peacefully on July 23, 2008.

Born in Houston, Texas, he was the oldest child of Horace King and Hazel Pitts. Ken proudly served his country in the U.S. Army from 1973 - 1975. He was an active member with the Emergency Support Team of the Justice of the Peace, Pct. 3, in Galveston County.

Ken is survived by his brother, Larry Guinn Pitts and wife, Rhonda; cousin, Beverly Lively and husband, Larry; close friend, James Stephenson and wife, Ann; and numerous other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents in 2001 and his wife, Linda in 2006.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. Sunday, July 27, 2008, at the Earthman Bellaire Chapel, 6700 Ferris St. Funeral service 10:00 a.m. Monday, July 28, 2008, with Rev. James Clark, officiating. Graveside Service: 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 29, 2008, at Eastview Cemetery, Vernon, Texas.
